The University of Colorado, Department of Psychiatry, Behavioral Health and Wellness Program (BHWP) will hold a one-day, in-person Regional Networks Action Forum for Tobacco Cessation on Thursday, November 2, 9a-4p at the Ski Hi Complex in Monte Vista, CO.
BHWP asks that participating organizations send 1-3 representatives from their leadership team. This event will culminate in the selection of an overarching regional cessation target goal for the San Luis Valley. The Action Form will include a light breakfast, lunch, and coffee/tea service. General parking is available at the parking lots on either side of the building.
The Action Forum agenda will include:
- Reviewing regional tobacco and nicotine use, existing treatment resources, and other regional data on the characteristics of individuals who use nicotine products at high rates.
- Participants will collectively identify an overarching regional cessation target goal.
- Partner organizations will identify their own realistic action steps that will help the region reach its overarching cessation goal.
- Partner organizations will further develop the regional leadership and structure for ongoing efforts.
