Recent Survey: Who Claims the Prize of Least Obese State?

In a recent Gallup-Heathways survey, the prize for least obese state went to Montana, barely snuffing out the previous champion, Colorado, by a mere 0.8%. According to the survey, Montana’s obesity rate is 19.6% and Colorado’s 20.4%. The survey found additionally that people in the top ten lowest obesity states had higher rates of healthful eating and exercise with 66.7% of people saying they ate healthy “all day yesterday,” compared with 60.8% of people in the 10 most obese states.
