RMTTS-C Transportation and Lodging Information May 2016

Training Location:
University of Colorado Denver
Auraria Campus
1475 Lawrence Street
Business School, Room 4500 (Gates Classroom)
Denver, CO 80202

Parking and Transportation:
To training – Parking downtown can be expensive and limited. However, there are a variety of garages near and on campus. For those traveling from out of town, staying in a hotel downtown would likely be the most convenient. The free Mall-Ride runs up and down the 16th Street Mall and can take you across downtown. Denver is also very walkable and taxis (or Uber) are readily available. For Colorado residents, using public transit like RTD or light rail is recommended.

From airport – Downtown Denver is approximately 30 minutes from the Denver International Airport (DIA). There are bus and taxi services available from the airport. Starting at the end of April 2016, the light rail service will be operating between the airport and Union Station in downtown Denver. Uber is also operational in Denver for those who are familiar with the service.

The University of Colorado Denver Auraria Campus is conveniently located in downtown Denver. The University has negotiated rates with many hotels in the Denver area for people traveling on University business. The full list – including rates, amenities, and ways to reserve a room – can be found through the University of Colorado Preferred Hotel Program. Be sure to click on the “Denver Metro” tab for hotels near the Auraria Campus.

The Denver area offers several choices of lodging locations to suit your preferences and priorities. Below are several hotels from the CU Preferred Hotel Program. The Behavioral Health & Wellness Program does not endorse any particular hotel or location. Also, please be advised that rates are subject to availability, so we recommend booking early. To reserve, call the hotels directly and mention the University of Colorado Denver exclusive rate.
Hampton Inn & Suites Denver-Downtown
Hilton Garden Inn Downtown
Warwick Hotel

Of course, there are a variety of other hotel options in downtown Denver, and you may be able to find a rate cheaper than going through the University. Check all options!
