I am a Clinical Associate with the Behavioral Health & Wellness Program and a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach. I am also a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist and member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). Motivational interviewing has been the heart of my clinical practice and I am passionate about training others in this evidence-based communication style. I have over 15 years of experience creating, implementing, and facilitating wellness programs (presentations, trainings, and curriculum) in private, academic, and healthcare settings. Most recently, I implemented and expanded the Colorado Model for Inpatient Tobacco Treatment (COMITT) at the University of Colorado Hospital to provide individual tobacco treatment for inpatients and in ambulatory clinics. With thousands of hours of clinical practice, I bring insight and experience to our trainings in Motivational Interviewing, tobacco cessation, vaccine hesitancy, Well Body, and stress management. I also collaborate on curriculum and program development. Changing behavior changes lives; I am grateful to work with BHWP to increase awareness and consciousness about the importance of whole-person wellness and wellbeing.
