The FDA will propose regulations later this month on e-cigarettes with restrictions that will likely be similar to those placed on regular cigarettes. Some of the questions regulators will need to answer are:
Will the sale of e-cigarettes be prohibited to minors?
Will the FDA require companies to disclose their ingredients and place health warning labels on packages?
Since flavored, traditional cigarettes are banned due to beliefs they could be marketed towards minors, how will they treat the sale of flavors available for e-cigarettes?
Will they require child-resistant packaging due to the danger of nicotine poisoning from the nicotine liquid used to fill the cartridges in some brands?
