FDA to Give Nutrition Labels a Makeover

The Food and Drug Administration announced changes to the design and information provided on nutrition labels. Since the labels have gone practically unchanged for decades, the FDA says much of the information on them isn’t accessible or pertinent to most consumers. Although the actual date for the changes have not been set, the FDA says enacting changes to the labels is a priority for 2014.
