Cynthia W. Morris, PsyD

Clinical Director

I am a clinical psychologist and the Clinical Director at the Behavioral Health and Wellness Program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Medicine. As Clinical Director at BHWP, I direct the Wellness Leadership Institute though which we offer many training programs and educational resources for administrators, healthcare providers, and peer specialists focused on health behavior change for whole health, work & well-being, tobacco cessation, and weight management. I also work with organizations to create systems that support the overall health of the organization, its employees, and the people they serve. Currently, I serve on the University of Colorado Faculty Resilience Council and the steering committee for the Physician Peer Support Program. I am a past president of the Colorado Psychological Association.

No matter the starting point, I believe that all people have the potential and desire to live well. For many, it’s about having access to information and resources. For others, it’s about practicing new skills and building new habits. It doesn’t matter if the person is a healthcare provider or a patient, we all need to be mindful about our health behaviors in order to make the conscious decision each day to be well. Awareness is a solid first step. I feel deep appreciation for the opportunity I have to facilitate this process through my work at BHWP. It is a pleasure and a privilege.
