Ashley Kayser, MA

Research Assistant

I am a senior professional research assistant at the University of Colorado Denver and the community liaison administrator with the Behavioral Health and Wellness Program. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a master’s in environmental policy and management from the University of Denver. A relatively new addition to the BWHP team, I have so far assisted with NIH grant submissions, training coordination, and report preparation. My role will be expanding to assist the community liaisons with their day-to-day activities.

Previous to working with BHWP, I was with the Division of Substance Dependence in the department of psychiatry for over 12 years, gaining expertise in all aspects of grants and contracts management, including study coordination, grant preparation and submission, IRB and other regulatory aspects of human subjects research, budget development and monitoring, database management, manuscript submission, and NIH and University systems.

As a Colorado native, my wellness has always been directly correlated to my ability to head for the hills to hike, cross-country ski, raft, and camp with human and canine companions in the remarkable natural playground that is our backyard.
